2016 Was a fab year for us. We have loved working with each and every couple and one couple that we worked with that left a mark on our hearts were the lovely Jo and Mike!. Right from the start they were a pleasure to work with. Their plans sounded beautiful and they had incorporated thoughtful touches such as including Mikes Grandmothers (Who had passed away) favourite flower - the sunflower within the choice of bridal flowers. They opted for a vintage school theme and chose the lovely Old Alresford place for their reception as they first met at school in Alresford. So again the location meant a lot to them. Their exciting plans were unfortunately also met with sadness as Jo's Mum Melody was very poorly with cancer and they were uncertain whether she would be with them for the Wedding. Jo Mike and Melody had a little request - Melody wanted to help design the cake, she also made beautiful silk flowers to adorn the cake so that if she wasnt there she could still contribute. In April this year we had the pleasure of working with the very lovely Bhavisha and Dipesh at their wedding at the Stunning Froyle Park in Hampshire. Set in 80 acres, Froyle Park is one of Hampshire's finest country estates, with a rich history dating back to the early 1600s. Its layout and stunning features make it the perfect venue for your luxury wedding!. During the planning we discussed colours and textures with our couple and designed an opulent style wedding cake with vertical ruffle detail, a brushed gold tier, elegant lace icing and some delicate sugar flowers. What a fantastic wedding day - the venue looked amazing. The suppliers had outshone themselves and transformed Bhavisha anDipesh's dreams into a day they will remember forever.
Here are a few of our favourite shots. Its great to see them enjoying our cake. And look how amazing they both look too!!.

There is also nothing better than feeling a part of making someone’s special day memorable and seeing the look on their face when they first see the cake. Cake making is in the blood to as my lovely Nan – “Nanny Jean” has also made wedding cakes for many years and has been a real inspiration to me.
How did we choose the name - Gifted Heart Cakes?
I believe a gift should always come from th...
